Tile Making Workshops
Tile Making Introductory Workshops Spring / Summer 2012
You do not need to have any previous experience in design or ceramics.
On Saturday you will learn to make 6 inlay tiles, using an age-old craft which has been practised since Roman Times. This part of the course is taught by Iris Milward.
The courses in Devon will have introductory Raku firing workshop on Sunday, including tuition in various glazing techniques and naked Raku on ready-made tiles. This part of the course is taught by Richenda Macgregor.
We will also provide design material.
Course structure:Devon Courses - Saturday 10.00–17.00, Sunday 10.00–17.00
Cost: £160, which includes the tuition and all materials for 6 tiles – and lunch on the Saturday and Sunday, with tea / coffee / cake all day long.
